JP Graphics is proud to be an FSC certified printer thanks to the JP operations, assessed by GFA Certification GmbH according to the FSC-STD-40-004 Version 3.1 standard.
What is FSC?
The FSC stands for the Forest Stewardship Council. This is an “international, non-governmental organization dedicated to promoting responsible management of the world’s forests”, their website states. This organization offers certifications that work to protect forests by empowering businesses and consumers to opt for certified material like controlled wood, recycled paper, and forest-derived products that are crafted from managed forest operations and materials that support sustainable forestry practices. There are various types of FSC certifications within the supply chain, ranging from FSC-certified forests to promotional licenses.
What does our certification mean?
Printers like us receive a forest management certification that falls under the umbrella of “Chain of Custody” Certifications. The FSC-STD-40-004 Version 3.1, “is the core standard for FSC CoC certification that specifies the requirements which apply to all CoC certified and applicant organizations with respect to sourcing, processing, labeling, and sale of forest-based products as FSC certified”. Essentially, this means that JP Graphics, a BR Company, is following the FSC standards and guidelines that ensure they’re operating in an eco-conscious manner.
