Position: Letter Shop Operator/Driver

Location: Denver, CO | 5050 Moline St., Denver, CO 80239

Pay: $24.00

Position Overview:

As a Letter shop/Driver at BR Printers, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of our printed materials to clients. In addition to driving responsibilities, you will be responsible for operating letter shop equipment and assisting in the production process. This is a multifaceted position that requires a detail-oriented individual.

Responsibilities:

Driving:

Safely operate company vehicles for the delivery of printed materials to clients.

Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations.

Maintain the cleanliness and good condition of company vehicles.

Letter Shop Operations:

  • Operate Letter Shop Equipment: Set up, monitor, and maintain letter shop machinery such as inserters, folding machines, addressing systems, and labelers to prepare materials for mailing.
  • Prepare Mailing Materials: Ensure that all print and direct mail items are properly sorted, folded, inserted into envelopes, and addressed as per client specifications.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular checks on output to ensure accuracy, quality, and adherence to customer requirements. Resolve any issues with print quality, addressing, or labeling.
  • Maintain Equipment: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of letter shop machines to ensure smooth operation and prevent downtime. Report any major issues to management.
  • Record Keeping: Track job progress, document any problems or delays, and ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed accurately (e.g., production logs, job tickets, etc.).
  • Inventory Management: Assist with managing supplies of paper, envelopes, labels, and other materials necessary for letter shop operations. Alert management when inventory is low or reordering is needed.
  • Safety and Cleanliness: Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following safety procedures, cleaning work areas, and disposing of materials appropriately.

Qualifications:

Valid driver’s license (Non-CDL).

  • Clean driving record.
  • Previous experience in bindery operations is a plus.
  • Ability to operate bindery equipment and machinery.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
